All Religions are Basically the Same.

I am sure you have heard the statement "It doesn’t matter which religion you practice, they all lead to the same endpoint." After you recognize that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship, I am in total agreement with the fact that all religions lead to the same final result. In fact I carry the thought even further by crediting Satan as the father of religion. Even Christianity can be distorted into a religious practice rather than a personal relationship with a gracious Savior.

What makes Religion Attractive to Man?

Religion in its various forms gives man a sense of accomplishment as he strives to impress God. While the methods and the agenda are diverse, Religion promotes an atmosphere of self Improvement or sacrifice by man. Religion allows man to do something about his condition. Religion credits man for his effort.

Christianity is in opposition to Religion.

True Christianity portrays man as helpless, incapable of self redemption, and in God’s view totally depraved. The solution for man’s inherent sinful nature is in God’s provision rather than man’s effort. Christianity tells how God provides the solution for helpless mankind while religion seeks to improve man’s nature or behavior to a standard acceptable to God. In Christianity Salvation is an unmerited Gift rather than a degree of self attained acceptability.

Religion is a subtle yet effective distraction that blinds the world.

Satan promotes religion as an alternative to the God’s Grace. If mankind is occupied by human good and moral self-renovation the obvious need for God redemption is masked behind a self-righteous veil. Through out human history Satan has always offered an opposing stance toward God’s plan. Satan’s deception even becomes evident in Churches that have perverted true Christianity into a system of works. It is for this very reason that many leaders of this world see little difference between religions and are moving to cooperate and incorporate similar viewpoints. Religion as such will invariably be in opposition with true Christianity. With religion man works and man gets recognized, with Christianity God does the work and God gets the credit.

Avoid Religious Involvement that Promotes Recognition of Man.

Salvation is clear and simple as taught in the Bible. Any presentation that complicates or distorts the simple act of Faith alone in Christ alone, is tainted with religion. Religion originates from the Devil himself and is a tool to blind the people of this world.

(2 Cor. 4:4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
