Most, if not all of you are undoubtedly already saved and on your way to heaven. But I thought I'd share this with you anyway so you can use it as a ministry tool to witness to your friends and loved ones. Hell is a real place and if we are truly Christians then agape love constrains us to win souls because the Word also says that "He who winneth souls is wise."

A TYPE OF HELL NO ONE PREACHES ABOUT

TO THOSE CALLED TO BE SAINTS
I want to give you something to think about. When we think of HELL, most often we think of caverns filled with people screaming and weeping in BRIGHT FLAMES of FIRE.
The military has perfected a substance that their soldiers can use in the field that when broken open will produce EXTREME HEAT like FIRE to cook their meals, but it PRODUCES NO LIGHT, so that the enemy cannot see them in the cover of DARKNESS.
The Bible speaks of the unsaved when they die going to a place called HELL or "OUTER DARKNESS". After reading the texts below, think of those in Hell right now that are in a place where there is TOTAL DARKNESS in FLAMES of FIRE that give off NO LIGHT.
The Word says:
Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom (of darkness) shall be cast out into OUTER DARKNESS: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into OUTER DARKNESS; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into OUTER DARKNESS: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
When a prisoner is placed in solitary confinement in a room of TOTAL DARKNESS, it isn't long before that person goes completely INSANE. I have heard of how some insane people cry, scream and grind their teeth. The PAIN of ending up in HELL is all encompassing, mentally, physically and spiritually. When placed into the DARKNESS of HELL, a place of no return, no appeals, no do-overs, UTTER DISPARE will fall upon YOU like a ton of bricks.
I have heard that there is no more excruciating PAIN than when a person has been BURNED over most of their entire body, because all the nerve endings have now been exposed. The PAIN is so intense, that the person has to be kept in a "medical induce comma" while they are in the process of healing or the sheer shock to the body would be devastating. This is another reason WHY Hell will be so PAINFUL to its inhabitants. All though the "flesh and bone" body will burn up quickly, the spirit "body" will burn forever in intense pain!
The Word says:
II Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the ANGELS THAT SINNED, but cast them down to HELL, and delivered them into CHAINS OF DARKNESS, to be reserved unto judgment;
II Peter 2:17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them THE GLOOM OF UTTER DARKNESS has been reserved.
Jude 1:6 And the ANGELS who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in ETERNAL CHAINS OF GLOOMY DARKNESS until the judgment of the great day—
The Word says:
Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Luke 16:23 And IN HELL he lifted up his eyes, BEING IN TORMENTS, and seeth Abraham AFAR OFF, and Lazarus in his bosom.
When we compare Scripture with Scriptures, we see HELL is a place of UTTER DARKNESS that burns with FLAMES that give off NO LIGHT. I have NEVER heard anyone preach about a HELL that BURNS with FLAMES OF FIRE in TOTAL DARKNESS. Think about this, the rich man was burning in the flames of HELL, in TOTAL DARKNESS. Looking out of the darkness across the great gulf between them, he sees Lazarus now in the LIGHT of Abraham's arms, the place where the saved went when they died BEFORE the cross.
Think about this, at Jesus' death He went and preached or proclaimed His victory over DEATH, HELL and the GRAVE "to the spirits in prison" in HELL.
The Word says:
I Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,
I Peter 3:19 in which he went and proclaimed to THE SPIRITS IN PRISON, (in chains of darkness in HELL)
I Peter 3:20 because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.
Every unsaved person from the time of Creation up until the cross were present in HELL, heard and saw JESUS CHRIST kick HELL'S GATE wide open and all His heavenly radiance flooded the DARKNESS as He walked in as the KING OF GLORY, proclaimed His eternal VICTORY and took the "KEYS" from Satan to "death, hell and the grave".
At the end of the war in Vietnam in 1975, I will never forget seeing and reading a political cartoon that said, "Will the last American to leave Vietnam, PLEASE TURN OFF THE LIGHT?" After Jesus proclaimed His VICTORY in HELL, He took all the saints who were in the place called Abraham's bosom with Him when He left that place. I DO NOT have Scripture to prove it, but I would be willing to say that when the last saint left Abraham's bosom, Jesus TURN OUT THE LIGHT and locked the door, leaving those in HELL in TOTAL DARKNES.
People DO NOT like to think or talk about HELL. But HELL is a real place! And if we DO NOT prepare to go to heaven while in this life we will inadvertently send ourselves to HELL! I don't want to go there and neither do I want YOU to end up there. But unless "we" are daily preparing to go to heaven, "we" are going to end up in HELL.
Someone said:
"YOU don't have to go to heaven if you don't want too. But YOU will go to HELL whether you want to or not!"
People think that ONLY bad people go to HELL. This is not necessarily true. There will be what the "world" considers as "good people" in HELL. What the people of the world DO NOT understand is that the Bible compares our best good deeds in the sight of a holy God to "filthy rages" and it goes on to say, "There is none GOOD but one". (God Himself) "Good and bad" people will be in HELL if they REMAIN UNSAVED. ONLY those who hear and believe the Gospel message about Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection for the sins of the world and trust Him ALONE to save their souls WILL BE SAVED.
The Word says:
Romans 10:9 "…if YOU confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU will be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace YOU have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Jude 1:24 Now to him (Jesus Christ) who is able to keep YOU from stumbling and to present YOU blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,
Jude 1:25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
Do you and I want to leave this world and go to "the Father of lights" (heaven) or do we want to leave this world and go to the place where even the "Prince of darkness" will end up? (Hell) The choice is ours and it needs to be made daily.
This is what Joshua said to the Children of Israel and he is still saying it to us today:
"Choose TODAY whom YOU will serve, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord".
