A True Work of God | |
| I am Alexander from Portugal. Christ was first let into my heart in Miami, USA, on May 27 2000. When I was 14, back in Brazil, I drew a cross with a pencil on a bathroom wall, and everyday before going to school, I looked at it afflicted with pain, and prayed that God would make people at school stop torturing me. My parents did not believe in God. I drew the cross because I knew of no other way to stop the abuse going on towards me in school. It was like an instinct. I was filled with pain! By the end of that year, my father found himself obligated to move to Miami, USA, because of `financial` reasons. I went to a new school in Miami, called Glades where I entered in 7th grade and was quickly transfered to 8th grade. During my time in America I met with a girl who was very close to God. Her name was Dyane. God used her, and several other people to drag me to church for the first time. I was very skeptical! And I still hadn´t realized that going to the USA was God´s answer to my dispair back in Brazil. After a hard battle against the church, and the love of His messengers, I finally lost! I began to pray openly to God, and going to church. I was bapthized twice. By Mormons and later on by Baptists. In reality, God saved me. I found myself, and who I truly was. Turned out into a very good looking, fortunate, wise, intelligent and deeply devoted boy, none of which I had been. God helped me with my sexuality, with my weight, with my school, my projects, my friends, my plans, and so many, MANY other things. I am 22 now, and hardly go to church, but I do pray hard. And things do happen. My alliance with God is unbreakable. I just came from Paris after a very bad relationship with someone I loved and whose love for me was destroyed by lies, and deceptions. Again, I had forgotten. BUT... When I look at all the people I prayed for, and how they turned out blessed like a miracle. When I look at all of the things I prayed for, and all the blessings I have received. When I compare how successful I was with God right beside me, and how unsucessful I have been when I have distanced myself from God, It is undeniable proof of his existence. I am not a religious fanatic by any means, and I do think churches sometimes get into big arguments over issues and forget they are made of sinners and ignorants, because that´s what we all are. One thing is true though, regardless of your religion, this I believe. Everything you ask God in the name of Jesus Christ, WILL BE GRANTED TO YOU. Everyday of my life, without any single exception of ONE day, I see strange coincidences that show me God is there. If you are going through the hardest time of your life, or the happiest, remember, NEVER, but NEVER, no matter what happens in this crazy, wild and strange world, forget that your faith in God, and everything you ask Him in the name of Jesus, to you, shall be granted. This He promises, and I do too. You can analyze problems all you want, marvel and fear, how impossible they seem to be. But remember, they only SEEM to be. They are not. God controls ALL and everything and nothing goes by, without his conscent. Don´t forget this testimony. Alexander   The Christian Counter |
