As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says.  Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did.  They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). 

First, read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures.  Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures.  Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later.

One should continually remind himself that Jesus Christ said His Ways are easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30).

Jesus Christ says one must have the mind of a child to understand His true message (Matt. 11:25).  A child is teachable, correctable, willing to change, and willing to admit he’s been wrong about many things (Mark 10:15).  One must have this attitude to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-4; 19:14). With this attitude of a child, then, let the mind be in you that is in Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:5; Eph. 5:10).

Jesus always did things to please the Father (John 8:29).  The words that came from His mouth were the Father’s.  We are to do the same (1 Peter 4:11; Col. 3:8, 10; Eph. 4:29).  Whatever is good, peaceable, respectable, admirable and uplifting, we are to think on these things (Phil. 4:8-9).  We are not to have a tongue that says good things one minute and bad things the next.  Instead, we are to use it for good all the time (James 3:9-10).

By practicing these Scriptures in our daily walk with God, we will be committing our minds and tongues to Christ.  Remember, we must be diligent and zealous, and we must persevere in order to make headway.

Now the only thing left is to get the body to zealously do good for God (1 Peter 3:13).   Remember, doing good is how God is glorified (Matt. 5:16).  It is how He is well pleased (Heb. 13:16).  Doing good for God’s glory is His Will and the Way He wishes to be spiritually worshiped (Heb. 13:21; Rom. 12:1-2).

Ask yourself, "Have I ever been weary in doing good for God?" (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13).  If you have, you will know that you are in the process of committing your ways to the Lord (1 Peter 3:11; 1 Tim. 4:7).  If not, then it is time to begin, because it is a great way to live.
