As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says. Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did. They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). Read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures. Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures. Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesus walked in the Ways of the Father. He was our perfect example (John 5:19-20). He came to show us this beautiful Way of life-a way of love, joy, peace, abundance, answered prayers and every good thing (John 10:10; 14:14). He said it was easy and pleasant (1 John 5:3; Matt. 11:30). We don't need to be intelligent to live it, just obedient like a child (Rom. 16:26; Mark 10:15). It does not require previous education because God will be our teacher (John 6:45; 1 Cor. 3:19; Is. 48:17-18). God lives a
certain Way and He never deviates from that Way (Psalm 145:17). That
Way is called His Will (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). It is also called
His walk (2 John 6). Once we understand how God walks or lives and
what His Will is, then we too can walk with God or live as He lives by
keeping His When we study the
Scriptures, we can see that the Will of the Father is to do acts of
righteousness, or good deeds (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 13:16).
The Will of the Father is to do good works by keeping the sayings Jesus
Christ received from the Father (John 12:47-48). We are to overcome
our evil natures by being zealous in doing good deeds for God in Jesus'
name and thus, bring all our thoughts and actions into the captivity of
Christ (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:13; Col. 3:17; 2 Cor. 10:5). This
allows Now is the time to
get involved with the godly process (1 Tim. 6:3-4). Don't let Satan
snatch your opportunity away (Eph. 4:2-7). Tell God you want to
serve Him today by serving your fellow man in every way (Rom. 15:3; 2:7; 1
Cor. 10:24; 11:1; Eph. 5:1; Matt. 25:34-40). Remember always,
those (Feel free to give copies of this study to others who want to know God’s truth. You will be doing God’s Will when you show and tell others how to live this special Way.) |
